Kiefer Sutherland on Today Show

Kiefer Sutherland admitted that when “24” writer/producer Howard Gordon (who now works on Showtime’s “Homeland”) called and said he had an idea for a 12-episode arc, the actor was “quite surprised by” the idea of doing a ninth season of the hit drama. “I said, ‘Well, why don’t you just kind of do them for “Homeland,’ (and) he said, ‘No, this is really “24,”‘ would you be interested,’ and it took me all of three seconds to say, ‘Sure, of course,'” Sutherland said.

Well that’s great to hear sounds like he’s open to the idea of making more seasons of 24. or a movie.

I’d keep it to more 12 episode seasons similar to what they’re doing with shows like Homeland, Game of Thrones.

24 is a great concept and it would be nice to keep it going as long as there is a story to tell.

I wouldn’t mind that actually but the only thing we don’t know if it will become a yearly thing. Which I hope it will.
