Kiefer Sutherland on The Jonathan Ross Show

Kiefer Sutherland visits The Jonathan Ross Show to promote 24: Live Another Day, his upcoming film Pompeii, and discuss his past film career. We’ve recorded it and you can watch Kiefer’s segment below.

“We’re not reinventing the show, so Jack is going to have a bad day. We’re doing 12 episodes this year instead of 24. And so the 12 episodes will still represent a 24 hour day, and the episodes will be in real-time like the show was. But if Jack needs to catch a plane to France or to Germany we can absorb that in the hours [in-between]… The clock will move forward.”

Kiefer also revealed that he hasn’t watched an episode of 24 and doesn’t watch any of his own movies. Other topics discussed include past films The Lost Boys and Young Guns, competing in rodeo, his upcoming movie Pompeii, and more.

That wasa good episode.

Wow! Jonathon Ross actually let the guest speak most of the time… for once.

I still don’t get how the 12 hours deal is going to work. If only 12hours of the 24 are going to be shown (disregarding commercials, which will take roughly 4 hours of those 12), then it’d be like skipping an hour each week. So if Jack catches a plane, he couldn’t fly for more than an hour, unless he completely does nothing for the following episode, so his flight can be somewhere between 2 and 3 hours. Unless of course, some episode are back to back and between some episodes 2 hours ocurr.
