The character that I play, John Donovan, is a senator who is aspiring for higher office in the middle of a campaign right now. His wife is Rebecca Ingram, who is the former head of CTU.

She’s made a deal with her husband that she will leave her position at CTU to help him with his campaign. But on this particular day, and something happens. She gets a particular phone call.
JIMMY SMITS (JOHN DONOVAN):
Not only is Rebecca Ingram brought back into CTU, but we come to find out, through a series of events, that my character is much more involved, and creates much more action and havoc.
