Update: Ugh, seems like TwitVid has removed the video already, so I’ve reuploaded it here. If you’ve embedded that video on your site already please update with this new one. Sorry for the inconvenience!
Kiefer Sutherland and co-star Jim Gaffigan were on The View to promote their Broadway play That Championship Season. Kiefer was then asked about his former co-star Charlie Sheen. And lastly, he gets asked about the 24 movie (skip to 8:45 for that). Kiefer’s response was: “It will come out in the Summer of 2012.”
Kiefer mentions the 24 movie (hopes to shoot in January, Tony Scott is interested in directing), his upcoming internet series The Confession (late March premiere, possibly releasing three episodes at a time), and his Broadway play That Champsionship Season.
Mary Lynn Rajskub made her first appearance on the Lopez Tonight late night show. She talks a bit about the intensity of working on 24, her guest spot role on tomorrows Modern Family, being a parent, and more. At the end the entire audience got free 24 Season 8 DVD’s.
FOX just sent me this cute holiday video to post which features many 24 cast members wishing fans a happy holiday. Among the stars in this video are Kiefer Sutherland, Anil Kapoor, Leslie Hope, Dennis Haysbert, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Sarah Clarke, Xander Berkeley, James Morrison, Howard Gordon, Jon Voight, Carlos Bernard, Adondi Maropis, and Penny Johnson Jerald. Check it out:
He played: Tony Almeida, Days 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 7. What he’s doing now: “I’m producing and starring in a pilot with Deran Sarafian (‘House.’) It’s called ‘The Blue Wall’ and is the true story of an ex-police officer who was chosen by New York mayor David Dinkins to go after corrupt cops. It’s a really interesting story. We’ll see what happens. I still get recognized as Tony. People yell out, ‘Hey, Tony!’ That’s good. It means they enjoyed me on ’24.’” Which series he’d watch a marathon of: “‘Dexter.’ I like that show. It has great acting, great writing and really strong directing. That’s one of the few shows that I watch.”
Check out the full interview – with responses from Gregory Itzin, Necar Zadegan, Jon Cassar, and Lou Diamond Phillips, over at TV Squad.

“I’m Kiefer Sutherland and I just wanted to take a moment to tell you how sorry I am that I couldn’t be with you at Hollywood and Highland for the 24 Marathon Challenge. Now I understand that the Guinness World Record is 84 hours. And if there’s one group of people I know that can break that, it is you, the 24 fans, and you’ve proven yourselves to be that. I want to wish you luck and again tell you how sorry I am that I couldn’t be there. So please, try and get cozy, and go get ‘em! Good luck.”
