Kal Penn who played teenage terrorist Ahmed Amar in the sixth season premiere of 24 has spoken about his role on the show.
He’s shooting a Kumar sequel right now, and as for his recent stint as a terrorist on 24, he admits, “I have a huge political problem with the role. It was essentially accepting a form of racial profiling. I think it’s repulsive. But it was the first time I had a chance to blow stuff up and take a family hostage. As an actor, why shouldn’t I have that opportunity? Because I’m brown and I should be scared about the connection between media images and people’s thought processes?”

Joel Surnow appeared on TV Guide channel’s “Scoop This” to promote the upcoming sixth season premiere of 24 – by telling people not to watch!
“Mayhem. It’s gonna be the down-and-dirty season. It’s going to be the hardest-edge season we’ve had so far. Women and children, you may not want to watch. Men who are not alpha male, I don’t think you wanna watch. The only people that wanna watch are commandos, mercenaries, and guys in prison. That’s the only people who are gonna be able to handle this season.”

TVGuide.com: Has Kiefer [Sutherland, 24] seen The Nine?
Raver: I know that he saw the pilot, and I think he really liked it. I just talked to him the other day. He’s so crazy busy — especially with this band he has on his label.TVGuide.com: Yeah, that documentary [I Trust You to Kill Me] aired on VH1 a few weeks ago….
Raver: It’s an amazing movie. Everyone should check it out. You see a side of Kiefer that [the people] who work with him get to see. And the band, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, is awesome.TVGuide.com: Now when do you start work on Season 6 of 24?
Raver: Uh, I can’t tell you….
