One of my favorite scenes in the 24 series has made Entertainment Weekly’s “20 of the Most Disturbing TV Scenes Ever” list at number 18 of 21.
JACK KEEPS HIS HEAD AND TAKES SOMEONE ELSE’S
Jack Bauer has always espoused an ends-justify-the-means philosophy but we really didn’t start to get it until that second season when he executed lowlife Marshall Green and decapitated his corpse to help establish cred. Heroic? Not so much. Just disturbing. —Abby West
Probably the best acceptance speech I’ve ever seen. Kiefer Sutherland pokes fun at the weird-looking trophy saying it will come in handy at the bar later and then tells all the 24 fans that “You guys fuckin’ rock” while flipping the bird. We love you too, Kiefer!
The 2010 Teen Choice Award nominees were announced and 24 is up for 4 awards.
24 was nominated for “Choice TV Show: Action” (with Burn Notice, Chuck, Human Target, and NCIS: Los Angeles). Kiefer Sutherland was nominated for “Choice TV Actor: Action” (alongside Jeffrey Donovan of Burn Notice, Zachary Levi of Chuck, LL Cool J of NCIS: Los Angeles, and Mark Valley of Human Target).
Aint It Cool News is reporting a juicy rumor on how the next Die Hard film got it’s name of Die Hard 24/7 – apparently FOX execs floated an idea of using their two properties in a crossover flick that would have Jack Bauer and John McClane appear in the same film.
The source says that Kiefer Sutherland was more interested in keeping the 24 franchise separate.
Here’s a neat wallpaper that a 24 fan Craig made and sent into me. It features Jack Bauer in his terror gear uniform, which fans have dubbed “Iron Jack” or “Darth Bauer”. Something tells me this is gonna be a popular Halloween costume. Share
Remember President Taylor urging Jack to flee for his life in 24‘s series finale? That’s probably just what he’ll do—straight to a movie theater. “Jack ended in a way like never before—as a fugitive from everyone,” says executive producer Howard Gordon, who envisions Sutherland giving Bruce “Die Hard” Willis and Harrison “The Fugitive” Ford runs [...]
Here’s the full video message that Jack sent to his daughter Kim in the 24 series finale. We saw parts of this throughout the final episode, but this is the entire thing. It comes from the Fox.com website but was put on YouTube by virginieb20 – thanks! YouTube link: 24 – Jack’s Message to Kim [...]
Here’s the FOX promo pics from last nights 24 series finale (I hate typing the words series finale). I gotta say, the graffiti wall was really cool and unique imagery for the final scene. Share
Here are a few 24 series finale fan videos. I’m sure there’s a lot more, if you made one tweet me the link or email through the contact form on this site and I might put it up in a future roundup post later on. Don’t Fight It Montage (8×24 clip at end) 24: The [...]
The final ‘Scenemakers’ behind the scenes video of 24 Season 8 with director Brad Turner and actors Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer) and Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brian). What were your favorite season finales? Certainly the first one, just because it set a precedent for us for the rest of the show. I can’t remember the season, but there was one where Jack Bauer gets in the truck, the day is over, and he’s on his way home. Jack comes unglued. And it [...]
Here it is, the last 24 talk show appearance ever *sniffle* – fortunately it’s a great one, 13 minutes long and with a cool 24 series recap video. TwitVid Link: Kiefer Sutherland on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Share
KIEFER SUTHERLAND “Jack Bauer” • On a real sense of accomplishment completing 24 • On saying goodbye to the 24 crew after 9 years • On having the right people to make a great show • On leaving 24 in good quality and saying goodbye • On saying thank you to all the 24 fans [...]
