From a blurb on Kim Raver’s new Lifetime television movie Bond of Silence in USA Today, she was asked about a possible return of Audrey Raines in the upcoming 24 movie:
Would Raver appear in the projected 24 movie if asked? “Never say never on 24,” she says. “Audrey’s not dead. She’s just in bed somewhere.”

Some of the actors in attendance were Sarah Clarke (Nina Myers), Leslie Hope (Teri Bauer), Dennis Haysbert (David Palmer), Penny Johnson Jerald (Sherry Palmer), Kiefer Sutherland (Jack Bauer), Jon Voight (Jonas Hodges), Jeffrey Nordling (Larry Moss), James P Morrison (Bill Buchanan), Kim Raver (Audrey Raines), John Boyd (Arlo Glass), Anil Kapoor (Omar Hassan), Annie Wersching (Renee Walker), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brian), Carlos Bernard (Tony Almeida), Chad Lowe (Reed Pollock), and former director Jon Cassar.
Question: Now that Renee has been killed off in 24, is there a chance of Audrey returning for the 24 movie? —Patty
Ausiello: Yes, there’s a chance. “Any character who is still alive has been discussed and is being considered,” says exec producer Howard Gordon. “But I’m not ready to disclose any names because it could change.”
Question: Any chance Kim will return for the big 24 finale? —Charlie
Ausiello: No. According to e.p. Howard Gordon, “Once upon a time she was [going to be in the finale], but we went in a different direction. The story took on a darker hue that didn’t include her.”
Question: Since this is the last season of 24, I need some scoop. — Shannon
Ausiello: Fans hoping for a Jack/Audrey reunion are out of luck. Although exec producer Howard Gordon admits he’s “personally curious” about what happened to Audrey, he says the fate of Kim Raver’s bedridden character will remain one of the show’s “unresolved” mysteries.
In the 8/21 issue of Entertainment Weekly, writer and executive producer Evan Katz gives the scoop on Audrey Raines and the future of 24.
No Audrey Raines
With Fox president Kevin Reilly recently hinting that the coming season of 24 may turn out to be its last, longtime fans are counting down the days to a Jack-Audrey reunion. Unfortunately, exec producer Evan Katz says a series-ending story has already been hatched in the event 24 clocks out for good next May – and it doesn’t involve Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack reconnecting with his former love (played by Kim Raver), who lapsed into a catatonic state at the end of Day 6. “Some of the things we’re doing this season preclude [her returning],” he reveals. “So, I think not.”
TV Guide’s Matt Mitovich says not to expect Audrey in Season 8:
Will Kim Raver return to 24 since ABC didn’t pick up her new show? — BrightEyez
MATT: I see where you’re going with this. Since Season 8 is set in New York City, you’re hoping Jack and Audrey will rendezvous, Sleepless in Seattle-style, atop the Empire State Building. Well, put a pin in that dream for now. For starters, you should be with me in wanting Jack with Renee, not Audrey. Beyond that, ABC’s Inside the Box pilot is undergoing retooling/technically still in play, so Raver might not exactly be available. But one Kim you can plan on returning is Jack’s daughter — sources tell me Elisha Cuthbert has already filmed scenes for Day 8′s first few hours.
With Kiefer Sutherland and company running around FOX’s TCA events yesterday, many of our burning queries regarding the Monday night drama were posed and answered. Among them? Karen Hayes (Jayne Atkinson) is still happily married to Bill Buchanan, however we won’t see her in the flesh this season because Atkinson’s busy on Broadway… [click to continue…]
Jack Bauer’s personal life is as complicated as his professional life.
After thwarting plans for detonating suitcase nukes in Monday’s episode, 24‘s action hero was hit with a staggering good news/bad news scenario: His true love, Audrey Raines (Kim Raver), is not dead, as he had been told, but is being held by his Chinese nemeses.
Raver, back after playing Audrey during 24‘s past two seasons, will describe her character’s situation only in general terms: “Audrey comes back not herself at all. She’s definitely not in a good place.” [click to continue…]

TVGuide.com: Has Kiefer [Sutherland, 24] seen The Nine?
Raver: I know that he saw the pilot, and I think he really liked it. I just talked to him the other day. He’s so crazy busy — especially with this band he has on his label.
TVGuide.com: Yeah, that documentary [I Trust You to Kill Me] aired on VH1 a few weeks ago….
Raver: It’s an amazing movie. Everyone should check it out. You see a side of Kiefer that [the people] who work with him get to see. And the band, Rocco DeLuca and the Burden, is awesome.
TVGuide.com: Now when do you start work on Season 6 of 24?
Raver: Uh, I can’t tell you….
