Mary Lynn Rajskub is interviewed by Blockbuster UK about her role as Chloe O’Brian in the 24 series and taking over CTU. Loved the part where she jokes “How come when I get to be boss, it’s the last season? Finally I get to take over and they just pull the plug!”

Kiefer Sutherland spoke about the upcoming 24 movie, saying that it won’t be set in real time (obviously – can you imagine watching a 24 hour movie?), but will instead be a two hour representation of a single day. More excitingly, it seems like they’re getting closer to hiring a director (earlier this month, Tony Scott was in discussions to direct).
“Some amazing filmmakers have made themselves available to make the film, so we’re very excited,” Sutherland said. “It’s going to look, I think, very different from the show,” said Kiefer.

Here’s a video of Howard Gordon talking about his upcoming thriller novel Gideon’s War. I was sent an early copy of the book and it was excellent – 24 fans will most definitely enjoy this one. I’ll be able to share more details including my full review in the following weeks. Gideon’s War releases on January 11, 2011, you can pre-order it on Amazon today.

Mary Lynn Rajskub was interviewed on Sky News and revealed some top secret details of the 24 movie. “I’m actually writing the movie myself. It involves Jack using a jet-pack in his underwear. I just started writing it a couple days ago, I have high hopes. The movie is in the works. ”

Howard Gordon did an interview with Sky UK and revealed that at one point early on, network executives were considering Jeff Goldblum for the role of Jack Bauer. “But once Kiefer [Sutherland] came up that was pretty much done”, he says.
He also speaks of the final scene in the series finale and briefly about the upcoming 24 movie.

The 24 Season 8 DVD and Blu-Ray is out today in the UK and Digital Spy has a sneak peek clip of the special feature “Chloe’s Interrogation” featuring Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe O’Brian) and Carlo Rota (Morris O’Brian). Howard Gordon’s son Cap reprises his role as Prescott O’Brian.

Mary Lynn Rajskub answered fan questions regarding the 24 series in an exclusive Digital Spy live chat today. Among the topics discussed were her favorite Chloe scenes, her favorite bad guy (Gregory Itzin), and the upcoming movie which she knows nothing about. She’s also asked about a Chloe spinoff which she’s down for but hasn’t been approached about yet. Check out the video below:

Fans of 24 know Carlo Rota as Morris O’Brian, the recovering-alcoholic husband of the show’s snarky super-sleuth Chloe O’Brian, played by Mary Lynn Rajskub.
For three seasons of the FOX hit, he aided his wife in saving the world, but this weekend, he helped children fight cancer. On The Red Carpet caught up with Rota at the L.A. Rally for Kids With Cancer to ask if he had any ‘intel’ on a 24 movie in the works.
