FOX ANNOUNCES “24″ COMPLETE SERIES BLU-RAY RELEASE
Emmy Award-winning series to be released on Blu-Ray, bursting with hours of bonuses

LOS ANGELES, CA, April 1, 2012 – Since its highly-anticipated premiere in November 2001, FOX’s 24 has revolutionized primetime television, attracting a massive fan following and huge critical acclaim. Now, celebrating television’s most original and creative series, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment proudly announces 24: The Complete Series on Blu-ray.

With the release of 24: The Complete Series, audiences can relive every episode of the landmark series in addition to hours of never-before-seen deleted scenes answering long-pondered mysteries like “What does Edgar Stiles eat for lunch?” and “Why do the characters never use the restroom?”. Each episode will be increased to a full 60 minutes in length, providing true 24 fans a more authentic “real time” viewing experience.

Blu-Ray exclusive features include a new branching path option to skip several poorly-received storylines including Teri Bauer’s amnesia, the vast majority of Kim Bauer and Dana Walsh scenes, and the entire sixth season. Fan favorite Aaron Pierce will be digitally inserted into the eighth and final season, preserving his streak as the only character besides Jack Bauer to appear in every season of the series.

Additional features include an on-screen “Damn it” counter, a lengthy blooper reel from all eight seasons, a fascinating array of all-new behind-the-scenes featurettes; a documentary about cougars; and a series of unique retrospectives with many of the cast and crew as they reflect anecdotes, experiences and emotions of working on the iconic series.

Designed to bridge the gap between the series and the upcoming feature film, a ten minute epilogue featuring former President David Palmer (Dennis Haysbert) will be among the hours of extras. “Since there was no silent clock at the conclusion of Palmer’s last appearance — the 24 tribute to a major character’s demise — we always kept this as a possibility,” explains exec producer Howard Gordon. “We are thrilled to bring David Palmer back for the movie.”

Pricing is currently to be determined. 24: The Complete Series on Blu-Ray is currently scheduled to hit store shelves before April Fool’s Day of next year.
