Here’s a fun little interview with Ricky Gervais who admitted to imitating Jack Bauer on his Alias role. Seems like he watches the show and is a fan of Jack Bauer (who isn’t?).
But Ricky said: “I don’t want to pop up as a Mr Brit on every other television programme. I need to go home to where it rains.”
The only US TV part Gervais accepted was as a bomb maker in the secret agent series Alias, to be shown in the spring.
Talking about the role he said: “I’m a writer, not an actor. I just pretended to be Jack Bauer from 24.”
