Actor Julian Sands who played Russian terrorist Vladimir Bierko in 24‘s fifth season was found dead in the Mount Baldy area of the San Gabriel Mountains. He was 65 years old.
The actor was reported missing on January 13th after not returning from a hiking trip. His car was discovered a week after he was reported missing, but search and rescue efforts on the ground were hampered by severe winter weather conditions and dangerous trail conditions.
Hikers in the area found human remains on Saturday June 24th and today the police have officially identified those remains as Julian Sands. He leaves behind a wife and three kids.
