Here’s an eleven minute long interview with Katee Sackhoff that I recorded from KISW’s BJ Shea Morning Experience. She talks about many things including how nice Kiefer Sutherland is.

After the interview BJ shared his impressions of the 24 premiere and sounded very excited, especially about Annie Wersching’s Renee Walker character, saying there is an “epic scene” with Renee and that in all his years of watching 24 he said “Whoa” ending the segment with “it is a great four hours to watch”.

David Anders

Zap2It has gotten more information regarding David Anders character on 24:

David Anders will be playing a role on the eighth season of “24″ next year. And it looks like the former Mr. Sark is playing bad once again.

Details have been slowly filling in about Anders’ character on the FOX series, which returns in January. He’ll have a recurring part as the son of an Eastern European mobster, producer 20th Century Fox TV confirms.

The character breakdown describes the character, named Josef Bazhaev, as the “heir apparent to an ‘Eastern Promises’-style godfather. Josef is a dangerous man but is cautious and worries about things more than his father.”

The Eastern Promises-style godfather Bazhaev is being played by Jürgen Prochnow.

David Anders

If you’ve followed our Twitter, you may have noticed our post a few days ago pointing to David Anders being listed as 24 character “Josef”. Today, Natalie Abrams from E! Online has gotten official confirmation from Anders reps that he has joined the cast of 24.

From Julian Sark on Alias to Adam Monroe on Heroes, David Anders just can’t keep away from our favorite TV shows.

Reps for Anders confirm to us that David will be a recurring character on season eight of 24, joining the likes of Freddie Prinze Jr. and Battlestar Galactica‘s Katee Sackhoff. 24 is really beefing up its cast this year, raising alarm in fans that it will truly be the final season.

Jurgen Prochnow_old

Meet 24‘s new bad guy. 68-year-old German actor Jürgen Prochnow will terrorize New York City as Jack Bauer’s newest nemesis, Bazhaev. Perhaps best known as the submarine commander of 1981′s Das Boot, Prochnow’s ruthless character will head up an Eastern European organized crime syndicate that becomes part of the action.

“He’s essentially a Godfather,” says executive producer Howard Gordon, who teases that President Charles Logan (Gregory Itzin) could likely make a return in the new season. “He’s out there somewhere.” Sounds like Jack’s going to have his hands full.

Brad Turner director

Although director Jon Cassar will not be involved with 24 Season 8, he’s got the inside scoop on the directors of the four-hour premiere.

24 Season 8 – starts to shoot today without me – the first time I’m not directing on the first day since season 1. Have a good one 24 crew.

Brad Turner is directing the first two episodes of 24 then Milan Cheylov will direct the next two. In very experienced hands.

Turner has been with the series since the third season and has directed 38 episodes total (ten in Season 7). Cheylov has directed four episodes in Season 7 and six total.
