Jack Bauer screaming

Well that was fast. The official 24 website has been taken down on August, 24th – precisely three months after the series finale aired on television. There hasn’t even been any kind of “thank you for the support” message to 24 fans, the site was just deleted and all that’s left is a 404 “page not found” error message.

The 24 message boards will remain online up until September 15th after which they will be shut down too. So there’s a little under three weeks to say your goodbyes there.

Here’s a new “Ask Katee” where Katee Sackhoff reveals that she didn’t know Dana Walsh was a mole when taking the role (although she knew Dana was bad). The 24 question is the first one.

Anil Kapoor as President Omar Hassan

Anil Kapoor is going great guns. After the international acclaim following Slumdog Millionaire, the evergreen star is making his debut on international television with the final season of American series 24. He describes the action drama as “bigger than the biggest” he has done in India.

“This small screen (24) was bigger than the big screen that I have done in India. It was bigger than the biggest that I’ve ever done,” Anil, who played a game show host in Slumdog Millionaire that fetched him international visibility, said in a telephonic interview from Mumbai.

“For example, the scale of every episode was bigger than any of the films I’ve done in the past. The entire series is worth $125-150 million. I’ve never done such a big show in my career. It was totally very special,” added the 50-year-old.

Update: Watch the full Chloe’s Arrest epilogue!

Mary Lynn Rajskub 24 season 8

A new scene is being filmed for the 24 Season 8 DVD today featuring Chloe O’Brian (Mary Lynn Rajskub), her husband Morris O’Brian (Carlo Rota), and their young son Prescott O’Brian (played by showrunner Howard Gordon’s son in 24 Season 7). This was something that was just locked down within the last few days – as of August 9th it was still up in the air.

No word on what the scene entails – it could be some kind of epilogue of sorts, a tie-in to the 24 movie, or more likely just a short scene for fans of the series. Hope to have more information soon!

Leslie Hope as Teri Bauer on 24

In honor of Friday the 13th, Fancast has composed a list of televisions unluckiest characters. Jack’s wife and 24 Season 1 character Teri Bauer gets a spot on the list:

Teri Bauer, ‘24′: One of TV’s saddest and most unexpected death scenes was preceded by 23 hours and 50-ish minutes of wrong turns, displaced trust (whoa, Richard Burgi isn’t the girl’s father?!) and even a blink-and-you-missed-it, dramatically convenient bout of amnesia. Sure, Teri’s batch of bad luck was compressed into that very first day of ‘24,’ but man, was a character’s fate ever sealed.

Elisha Cuthbert as Kim Bauer in 24 Season 3 promo pic

“Coming from 24, it was a much-needed change that just felt right,” Cuthbert said. Nonetheless, she said she would be more than willing to appear in the upcoming 24 movie.

“Absolutely, I would be lying if I said otherwise,” Cuthbert said.

“They actually haven’t called me on it. The thing is, I have a lot of trust in Kiefer (Sutherland) and the producers and Howard Gordon, all these guys, that if they need me and I’m going to be a good fit – and not just put me in there because they have to – I trust their judgment and will be there on the day that they need me. Unless I’m shooting Happy Endings, of course.”
