Kiefer Sutherland would love to do another season of The Confession

Kiefer Sutherland and Greg Ellis in The Confession

Kiefer Sutherland spoke about the possibility of a second season of The Confession during a conference call for Touch. Here’s what he had to say:

I would love to do a second part of The Confession. There certainly is a story there that Brad Mirman, who wrote [the series], and I have discussed. John Hurt had a wonderful time on the show as I did and so we would both love to do that.

I think the real challenge, because I think The Confession was from a production standpoint quite high end with regards to a lot of things that have been produced for the Internet. The real difficulty is trying to figure out how to galvanize and pull in an audience because the Internet is so fragmented that there is no real kind of central post, if you will. The movie business has theaters. Television has set scheduling. The Internet is kind of when you want it, how you want it and trying to really corral an audience was what we found to be the most difficult. But I think that that’s starting to explain itself. The more things are produced for the Internet, the clearer it becomes how to go about finding that audience.

If you missed the first season of The Confession, it’s just been released on DVD, Netflix instant streaming, and the iTunes Store.

This is excellent news. I thoroughly enjoyed the first season of Confession. It was gripping, compelling and suspenseful. I just hope they don’t abandon their “snippet” style of episodes. I liked that they were just 5-7 minute chunks instead of 20-40 minute episodes. In doing so, the story can get more concentration in character development and story. Everything unravels quickly which makes it extremely exciting for the viewer.

Great job, Kiefer! And heres to hoping for another season of The Confession. :)

kiefer is so right. but the central point he’s looking for is netflix, hulu and places like that. i just saw it and thought it was superb. and u know what i did right away? i posted on facebook to tell my friends to watch it –most of them have netflix or hulu. anyway, my two cents.
