Sarah Wynter has been tapped as the new female lead on Fox’s real-time drama “24,” which is returning for a second season in the fall. In the series from Imagine TV and 20th Century Fox, Wynter will play a rich young woman who finds herself caught up in Counter Terrorism Unit agent Jack Bauer’s (Kiefer Sutherland) latest mission. Her character is also groomed as a potential love interest for Bauer, who lost his wife (Leslie Hope) in the season finale.
Australia-born Wynter toplined TNT’s 2000 thriller “Race Against Time” opposite Eric Roberts and Cary Elwes. On the big screen, she recently toplined Bruce Beresford’s “Bride of the Wind” and starred in “The 6th Day” opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger. Wynter, who will next be seen in the indie feature”Coastlines,” is repped by Endeavor, Mosaic Media Group’s Dave Fleming and attorney Stewart Brookman.
