IGN has news from CES 2007 that 24 Season 1 will hit Blu-Ray sometime in the early part of 2007. In fact, Amazon already has it up for pre-order.
According to the CES 2007 trade paper Blu-ray Today, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will release both the first seasons of its hit television shows 24 and Prison Break on Blu-ray Disc “early this year.”
“With DVD, Fox was one of the last and most tentative but we are not tentative at all now,” said Peter Staddon, executive vice president of marketing at Fox. “We’re very aggressive with catalog rollouts and complete support of new releases. There is no comparison to the first six months of DVD with the amount of product on the marketplace.”
