Kiefer Sutherland on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

Jack’s “Damn It!” Catch Phrase: “There’s no other expletive you can use on network television. Really, there isn’t a single other one. There were so many moments from the very first day we shot to now, where not only as a character, but myself as a person needed to get something out of the scene. And that seemed to be the word. We never meant it to catch on like it did. The irony is, I think that number is about half the number of the people that I killed on the show. You can’t swear, but kill as many people as you want!”

24’s First Season: “In all fairness when you do a show, you do it in stages. You do a pilot, which is the very first show. And then if they like the pilot, they’ll pick up another thirteen [episodes]. And then if they like that, they pick up the rest of the run; for us that was another eleven. I don’t think any of us thought it’d be picked up as a pilot because it was quite different. I don’t think anyone on our crew thought it was going to get picked up after that initial 13 [episodes], but it did.”

“I walked over to the creator, a wonderful writer and man named Joel Surnow. I said “Congratulations, this is going to be great.” And he looked at me, this is the only time I’ve ever seen him look scared in my life. He said “I don’t think we can write the next 11. I have no idea what we’re going to do.” And I remember looking at him and was like, this is not the point to tell me that! But it’s been an absolute honor and a privilege to be able to do.”

24: Live Another Day’s Finale: “I think one of the things, kinda very much like that first year where they’re kind of writing on the go, they can take a story down a direction and as things start to become obvious, and then they can make a real right or left turn on you. And I think that’s one of the staples of 24 and something we very consciously try to do with this season. So I hope it delivers, we’re certainly really excited about it. I spent the last six months nervous beyond belief just finishing each episode, because it is something that we have great respect for. To open that can up made me nervous. So now that we’re finished, now I just want people to see it and I hope they enjoy it.”

Made me laugh when Jimmy Fallon says DAMMIT!! LOL

Jimmy Fallon is such a low-test bottom.

lmao… Even for non 24-related things, you find the best in everything! ;)

He seems in good shape Le Kief !! Enough with all his bullshit about “I’m too old to play Jack Bauer” :)

I can’t stand Fallon he kept imitating there word Dammit when Kiefer was in the middle of a story. Fallon is annoying.
