Also this is a 24 spinoff, not a reboot! Its an expansion of the 24 universe. Not a remake! Manny Coto even said there is a very good chance of returning characters! I love your positivity JohnGormleyJG

Thanks! XD

Funny how they gave him Jack’s jacket, and his jack sack? Lol.

The Sack is a common tv and movie trick where the writer’s can just say the character had this or that and it was in the bag the whole time. It is funny though but not out of character. At least they switched his gun.

Damn they are trying to make him look like Jack…

Jesuschrist it makes me so upset, we could be having Jack on a new season but instead Fox is too busy being cheap like always, i wish they would atleast release the first six seasons on blu ray, it breaks my heart to see The X Files on blu ray, House M.D. on bluray, even that piece of crap of Prison Break is on blu ray, and what does the 24 fans get? a online streaming “remaster” that looks like crap and the stock scenes look even worse, i wish they could remember that 24 was THE show that started to sell boxsets in the first place…

Fox is not being cheap! 24 Legacy is going to be amazing and Eric Carter will be superb and stand on its own. Also Kiefer Sutherland changed his tone about not appearning on 24 Legacy. He recently said he could be back. Manny Coto said there is a very good chance of Jack and Tony coming back. Howard Gordon said its likely Jack will come back through the new series! And Fox has said the door is not closed on Jack coming back. Also 24 Legacy is a spinoff that expands the 24 universe. Its not a reboot or remake. CTU will be CTU Washington Headquarters with new characters and a very contemporary storyline. The writers room starts in June, with filming to take place in September and airing after the Superbowl on Fox! Kiefer Sutherland is also an Executive Producer on 24 Legacy meaning he gives his approval. Its also the same creative team as the original and Fox Dana Walden and Gary Newman have worked on 24 since its inception in 2001.

I have also heard the Pilot that is already filmed has tested very well among critics! And the fact that Fox gave it a series order three weeks ahead of the upfronts also shows how great the Pilot is. So don’t judge the show without seeing it first or seeing any Promo’s. U can’t say how good it is, just by a photo. Never judge a book by its cover. Open minded and Positivity all the way!

Well said Justin my Facebook friend, I am 100% agree with you with what you said. People shouldn’t judge when they have not even seen it. I am excited for this new series.

Eric Carter has a totally different story and background and we will see a lot of differences between both characters. Eventually the two 24 worlds will meet up in the series or in a movie. 24 Legacy provides more stories, fresh stories, especially with new writers behind the scenes! Give it a chance

New writers? Where you got this information? Everything I’ve read so far says is the same writers involved, namely Manny Cotto and Evan Katz (probably the main writers of Legacy as they were of LAD), and Howard Gordon. According to some sites, Legacy’s idea came from Cotto and Katz and they are the writers of the first episode.

He stole Jack’s leather jacket?

First I thought “Wow he looks badass.”
Until I noticed they dress him up exactly like Jack Bauer. Complete with the manbag.
Now I’m just shaking my head. Didn’t they want Eric Carter to be a unique character that is different from Jack? If they didn’t dress him like Jack, I’d be cool with Eric, but this is just laughable to me.

Jack Bauer isn’t James Bond where you just dress someone else up as him and call it a day. Christ.

Sorry for the rant, I’m otherwise quite excited for Legacy.

The story, the episodes and plots of Legacy could be really good. But, one of the things that I really liked 24 is that Kiefer Sutherland, different of other actors – other 24 actors included – really took his job as a federal agent seriously. I’m know I’m biased, but I think he was one of the best actors involving gun scenes. Several actors behave or gave glues in some scenes, because it’s all acted, they know what is going to happen or where the ‘enemy’ will be. In contrast, Kiefer was very good on this, he took it seriously, holding his gun as it’s real and if he fires, somebody might be hurt. He covered himself in several occasions, even if there were nobody on the place. Everybody on the set know what will happened; Jack and characters don’t. Good actors have to be serious about it, but they hardly are.

Look the way Hawkins is holding the gun… totally not convincing. And as other pointed out, it’s pathetic that they are dressing him as Jack Bauer… leather Jacket, the bag. Walden had said that they would try to distance themselves from Jack, but this is not happening at all with that outfit.

My reaction was not “badass” as it usually were with Kiefer, but was “amateur”… Kiefer could gave him a couple of classes on acting on 24.

Wow….you guys need to calm down

It’s just a picture

Wait for the series to start before placing judgement

Sheesh!

I’m waiting, I’m just sharing my reactions when I saw the picture! I’m judging from what I’ve and totally wanting to change when I watched.

I just think it’s unlikely that he’d be good as Kiefer, who wasn’t as good as he is today when he started first season. Kiefer improved a lot.

But what I said it’s not something especific with Hawkins. Kevin Bacon did The Following. He was good on dialogue scenes, drama scenes, and so on, but terrible on scenes with shooting…I just don’t believed what I saw on the screen was someone as good as the character’s reputation. I think it could all be minimized if actors begin to receive some training by professionals. Why not ? Some producers do very good research regarding the theme and context of their movies or show.

IS there any confirmation about the premiere date?

We need to give 24 Legacy a chance despite disappointment by the organizer of this seriesfor leaving Kiefer Sutherland and Mary Lynn Rajskub aside as being held hostages by Russian as everyone was interested to know what was going to happen to Jack in hand of Russian.

Manny Coto confirmed there is a very good chance of Jack and Tony coming back at some point. 24 Legacy is an expansion of the 24 universe. Not a reboot or remake. Manny Coto said they want to establish a new world of characters and then start bringing back old favourites. He also said getting Jack back into the story is not difficult at all.

Also Manny Coto said Corey Hawkins gave it his A plus game in the pilot and I heard reviews on the pilot were so good it was one of the best tested pilots! I think once we see Corey Hawkins, we will want more of him as he has good acting experience.

Also Kiefer Sutherland is an Executive Producer for 24 Legacy! Jack Bauer is the legacy of 24 along with the format.

There are other great actors too for 24 Legacy!

Can you give a link with Cotto saying this?

Hmm…Looks like Eric Carter will kind of like Jack Bauer in a way, if not 100% like him.

I wondering when we can see the picture of Rebecca Ingram (Miranda Otto) and the rest of the main characters in that spinoff.

You don’t want to mess with Eric Carter. Hope the latest 24 reboot is “one and done”.

24 Legacy I am excited for and hope will
Last a long time! I think it will get huge ratings! http://www.indiewire.com/article/24-legacy-super-bowl-fox-prison-break-corey-hawkins

Does this mean 24 Legacy debuts immediately after the Super Bowl airs? Is that a good idea considering the Super Bowls starts at 6:30PM EDT and is usually not over until 11PM EDT? It does not seem that is a good time slot – too late to get a full audience since people have to get to sleep because they work on Monday?

Every show after Super Bowl usually gets over 20 million viewers!

OMG, I did not know that – 20 million would be huge and if the pilot is as good as we have heard, it will get a lot of people hooked on the show

So that is why we should all cross our fingers and hope it happens!

Also Robert Cochran is back next season, Joel Surnow is back reading scripts and giving his input and Jon Cassar could be back!

If Legacy is successful first season, it will air yearly and could have 24 episodes for the second season!

Kiefer and Carlos Bernard will definitely be back at some point just not sure when Manny Coto confirmed today. Kiefer and Carlos know they r both wanted back!

Teddy Sears is fantastic in pilot and Eric Carter’s day turns very bad quickly

Manny Coto and producers went to Fox with 24 Legacy idea first. Fox did not push for another 24 after Live Another Day. Fox was at first iffy on the idea of Legacy but once they saw the Pilot script they than thought this could very well work and that the plan is for Legacy to have enough fresh original stories to make it last a long time!

The logo from Live Another Day will be fixed!

Producers have considered doing another two hour TV movie like 24 Redemption to wrap Jack and Tony’s story or doing a full season with Jack again or doing 24 movies!

They even considered bringing in a new lead every season to keep the show fresh!

What do you mean with fixing the lad logo?

Justin, where do you get this information from?
Would be nice to see some references – or some official information, especially regarding what has been talked about involving Jack. Is Kiefer accepted to play Jack Bauer again?

I used to think he was full of shit too. He’s not. Join the 24 legacy face book group. Manny Coto has been answering fan questions. I can verify everything Justin has said. He just seems to get over excited.

Thank you very much Rob! I appreciate you confirming that buddy and promoting the 24 Legacy group page!

I think I might just release the pilot script to shut up some of the whinny fans.

Do it if you have it.

I wonder if the writers and producers are dropping hints about Kiefer or other former cast members possibly making an appearance only to entice fans to tune in to the new show with the hopes of a surprise appearance by Jack, Tony, Chloe or another past character.

I also wonder how realistic it is to think Kiefer will appear at all, other than a brief cameo, when he’s scheduled to shoot the ABC TV series ‘Designated Survivor’ this fall as well. If that series succeeds, Kiefer may stay committed to that and decline any more ’24’ talk.

24 Legacy does not start filming until September-February! Designated Survivor finishes filming in October. Kiefer will have time to do 24 after his tour in November and December. So he can definitely film in the breaks!

But they said Legacy starts filming episodes 2-12 next month. To limit the time gap between pilot and series. Or did they change their plans all of a sudden?

Manny Coto confirmed September it starts filming! Writers room starts in June

This is just a hunch, but I think that Tony and Chloe would return earlier than Jack, who I think would have only a cameo in the final episode. Maybe it ends with a time jump, with Eric Carter meeting Jack Bauer face to face in the final scene.

I just saw a story that Greg Ellis (Michael Amador) was found safe after being missing for four days.

Given that the show now has a series order. I wonder might they change a couple of things in the pilot. Like have a Tony hint or something to show the likelyhood of returning characters. Would connect old fans definiltly. And I hope new fans would catch on like they did with LAD. I have been looking a lot at Corey Hawkins different works and he is honestly fantastic. I hope FOX will announce it as their Superbowl follow up.

Interesting tweet I just got off Carlos Bernard.
https://twitter.com/CBernardsbull/status/731941464343633920?s=01

I was a big fan of the original show and glad to see it continuing on.

I have one question, why have the first image of him be with an oil smear across his forehead? The “mess” is conveniently missing from his hairline and his hands look freshly manicured. The whole thing wreaks of cheesy cliche.

I understand that this is a promo shot, but makes me feel like the 24 Legacy will not hit the mark of gritty espionage that made the original stand out.

this is just a picture guys …though our man is freshly manicured and greased his face quite different from how it would be if Bauer was on shoot….but lets give him chance and see whats on him…..
